Mely’s supported and contributed (information, stories and interviews) and provided archive items for the exhibition Maglifico! Italian Sublime Knitscape.
The exhibition Maglifico! Italian Sublime Knitscape, born from a project by Federico Poletti, was inaugurated.
MAGLIFICO! Sublime Italian Knitscape is a path unravelling the creative and manufacturing features of knitwear in fashion and in everyday life. A tribute to the Italian talent in realising the most brilliant knitwear creations: the extraordinary ability to turn the uttermost experimental creativity into projects which are replicable on an industrial scale as well as into an actual one-of-a-kind item. A sublime overview on the Italian know-how through the manufacturing areas, the yarns and the companies which nowadays represent the very best of the Made in Italy, including the creations of the most outstanding designers from all over the world.
The sole “fil rouge” connecting all those extraordinary garments is the fact of being Italian manufactures.

The book “Maglifico! 50 anni di straordinaria maglieria Made in Italy” (“Maglifico! 50 Years of Extraordinary Made-in-Italy Knitwear”) was born from that project. Published by Skira in a double edition – Italian and English, it represents the project developed by Federico Poletti thanks to the exhibition Maglifico! Italian Sublime Knitscape, curated by Angelo Figus, Giusi Ferré and the author himself.
